Terms of Use

What this site is, what it is not, and the terms on which it is offered.

Last updated 29 October 2026

DUI.law publishes legal information. It is not a law firm, it does not provide legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney–client relationship. Nothing here is a substitute for advice from a lawyer licensed in the state where the arrest happened.

01Acceptance

By using DUI.law you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

02What this site is

DUI.law is a legal-information publisher operated by AJK Media, Inc. It publishes state-by-state reference material about DUI and DWI law, and a Roadmap tool that organises general next steps from answers you supply.

It is not, and does not hold itself out as:

  • a law firm, or a lawyer referral service
  • a provider of legal advice about any particular case
  • a substitute for a lawyer licensed in the relevant state
  • a filing service, a court, or a licensing agency

04Accuracy, and the limits of it

The platform publishes a legal figure only after it has been confirmed against an official source and dated, and it displays the citation and the verification date alongside the figure. Where a figure has not been confirmed, the page says so and shows nothing in its place rather than estimating.

Even so: law changes, official sources contain errors, and a rule that is accurately stated may not apply to a particular situation. The material is provided on an “as is” basis, without warranty of any kind, and we do not warrant that it is complete, current or applicable to you.

05The Roadmap

The Roadmap organises general next steps from the answers you provide. It is deterministic: it does not predict an outcome, it does not tell you what will happen in your case, and it does not state a deadline. It is a starting point for a conversation with a lawyer, not a replacement for one.

06The AI assistant

Clara provides general legal information, not legal advice. Responses may be incomplete, inaccurate or inapplicable to your situation and should be independently verified. Do not rely on the assistant as a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney. Using the assistant does not create an attorney–client relationship.

You choose what to share. Do not send incident details or information you do not want processed under these terms and our Privacy policy. Messages are processed through Portkey and the configured AI providers under their retention policies. Pressing Send beside the notice records your agreement to that processing for the request. Optional saving for our private review is separate; it does not authorize model training or transcript sharing with law firms.

07Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • use the site to break the law or to help anyone else do so
  • scrape, mirror or bulk-copy the content for republication
  • misrepresent the site, or any output of it, as legal advice or as coming from a lawyer acting for you
  • attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the site

08Intellectual property

The site’s original text, design, code and organisation are owned by AJK Media, Inc. Statutes, regulations, court rules and other official materials quoted or cited are the works of their issuing bodies, and links to the official source are provided so you can read them there.

10Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AJK Media, Inc. and its officers, employees and contributors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or anything published on it, including any decision made or not made on the basis of it. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.

11Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The date at the top reflects the last substantive revision, and continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
