DUI.law requires no consumer account and takes no payments. Optional public-page analytics runs only if you allow it. Optional saving for private conversation review is a separate choice described below. The Roadmap is built from your answers and shown to you; it is never written to a database.
01Who operates this site
DUI.law is operated by AJK Media, Inc. It is a legal-information publisher — not a law firm, and it does not provide legal advice or represent anyone. Using the site does not create an attorney–client relationship.
02What we do not collect
Stating this first because it is most of the answer.
- No consumer account required. Owner-only sign-in protects the private review screen.
- No advertising trackers or session replay. We do not record your screen, clicks automatically, form entries or conversation text for analytics. Optional analytics is described below.
- No payments. Nothing is for sale here, so no payment or billing information is collected.
- No advertising cookies. The site sets no cookie for advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking.
- No contact forms. There is currently no form on this site that asks for a name, email address or phone number.
03The Roadmap, and why nothing is saved
The Roadmap asks where an arrest happened, when, and a few optional questions. Those answers are used to build the page you see and are then discarded. They are not written to a database, not logged by us, and not sent to anyone.
The scripted Roadmap keeps your answers in this page’s memory, not in the web address. Reloading or closing it clears those answers. Analytics does not run on the Roadmap, chat or private review pages.
Because nothing is stored, there is no Roadmap for us to retrieve, delete or hand over — including if we were asked to.
04What is collected automatically
The site is served by a hosting provider, and like essentially all web hosting it processes the technical information a request necessarily carries — an IP address, the browser and device type, the page requested, and the time. This is used to serve the page and to keep the service running and secure. We do not combine it with anything else, and it is not used to build a profile of you.
Legal information on state pages is read from a separate database operated within the same group of platforms. That is a read of published legal reference material. Nothing about you is sent to it.
If you allow optional site analytics, PostHog in the United States receives visits to known public pages and a small set of navigation clicks, with a random identifier limited to this browser tab, session timing, screen size and device category. Referring websites are reduced to their origin; query strings and fragments are removed. We do not identify you by name or email, create a person profile, collect advertising identifiers, record your screen or send Roadmap answers or chat text to analytics. IP-derived location enrichment is disabled; technical network information is necessarily processed to receive requests.
Analytics is off until you choose “Allow analytics.” “No thanks” leaves it off. We honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Use “Analytics choices” in the footer to withdraw permission. Counts cover only participating browsers, not everyone who visits; these are not records of legal advice or requests for a lawyer.
07The AI assistant
Clara, the DUI.law AI Navigator, is available on this site. No part of this site invites an account of the incident.
By pressing Send beside the chat notice, you agree to provider processing under our Terms and this policy. Your selected state, messages and conversation context are sent through Portkey to Anthropic, or to OpenAI if the configured fallback is used, together with legal reference material needed to answer. These providers may retain requests and responses for their operational, security and legal purposes under their applicable terms. We do not promise zero provider retention. Provider processing is necessary for AI chat; you can use the guided Roadmap and published pages without it.
Provider information: Portkey privacy policy, Anthropic API retention, and OpenAI API data controls. To stop future provider processing, stop sending messages. This does not recall messages already processed by providers.
What our own servers keep about a conversation is structured: the page you started from, the state and county you gave, the case stage, custody status and whether a hearing was requested, message counts, whether a safety reply was shown, and whether a lead was created — never the words of your messages. If you ask us to connect you with a participating firm or with the founder, the exchange you consented to share is kept with your consent record as evidence of that consent; it stays on our servers and is never sent to a firm.
Saving for private quality and safety review is a separate, unchecked choice. Only new messages and actual server replies after you opt in are saved in our review database; old history is not uploaded to that store. Conversation history is still sent to the AI providers as context when you continue chatting. You can chat without saving a review copy, stop future saving or delete the saved review copy using the chat control. Closing the tab alone does not delete a saved copy.
Review copies expire 90 days after consent, are hidden at expiry and cleaned up daily. Backups may age out separately. Only the authorized owner can review them. Review does not authorize model training or sharing transcripts with law firms. Internal findings may inform separately tested improvements, not automatic prompt changes. This is not a privileged attorney-client conversation.
08Children
This site is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
09Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information a business holds about you. Use the chat’s delete control to remove a saved review copy. If you lose it, contact us below; we will verify the request without asking you to email the conversation. Deleting a review copy does not remove browser history, provider records or separate lead/consent records.
10Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes — anything that adds a category of collection or sharing — will be reflected here before the change goes live, not afterwards.
